Will definitely be calling Captain Eddie the next time we are in this area. My son grandson and I had a wonderful time. We all think this was one of the best trips ever! I cannot say enough good stuff about this trip.

We had an incredible experience with Captain Eddie Permenter and Sea Dawg Charters! From start to finish, everything about this trip was first class. Captain Eddie has a fantastic attitude—friendly, patient, and genuinely passionate about making sure everyone has a great time. His boat and equipment are top-notch, clean, well-maintained, and outfitted with everything you need for a successful day on the water. You can tell he takes a lot of pride in what he does. Most importantly, he always knows where the fish are. We easily caught our limit of red snapper, including a massive one hauled in by David Lien. Captain Eddie put us right on the action and kept the good times rolling the whole day. If you’re looking for the best charter experience on the Gulf, look no further. Sea Dawg Charters is the real deal. We’ll definitely be back!

Captain Eddie provided us with a fantastic day on the water. Despite bad weather in the morning, and rough currents during fishing, Captain Eddie worked hard to find us spots that would yield results. We all maxed out on our limits for red snapper. He also cleaned our fish for us at the end, allowing for some great cooking once we got home! A great day with Captain Eddie!

We had a BLAST. My husband gets sea sick so it was me taking my 13 year old son, 14 year old nephew, and my son's 13 year old friend. It was GO TIME as soon as we left the dock. I expected Captain Eddie to start with explanations, maybe a bit about what to expect... or even boat rules and procedures some sort of speech... bla, bla, bla . (former school teacher here... I did it to all my students ) Nope. Eddie handed the boys rods and they IMMEDIATELY started catching fish. And they never stopped. We had so much fun. And as we fished and talked and fished and talked Captain Eddie attended to the boys non stop (with enthusiasm! Anyone who's ever fished with kids knows it requires a BOAT LOAD of patience )... baiting with stuff I'd never seen or heard of... plus live fish, crabs, and shrimp... he also told us about the lay of the land. We got to see the oil rig workers SWING FROM ROPES onto a giant ship that came by to pick them up off the rig, we saw a hawk carrying a fish land right in front of it and eat it, we saw an 1880 lighthouse, and Captain Eddie used his equipment to find holes (or holds?? I'm still not sure) of secret pockets of fish over top buried chicken coups and barges. I learned a lot and could barely tell my husband about it when we got back to the condo. I was sound asleep shortly after 8:21pm. Huge memory maker. Caught a VARIETY of fish. So much that we stopped for spices and olive oil on our way home. Oh! And the birds!! We followed them. They lead us to find fish. It was a grand adventure... worth every penny. Thank you, Captain Eddie. Captain Eddie is a tenacious and dedicated captain who ensures that your time on his boat is memorable. This is our second family outing with him, and we were pleased as usual. I appreciate how he helped our son-in-law, who is not a fisherman, learn and catch his first Red Snapper. Mama out caught the men on the boat, I caught the first Red Snapper weighing 30 pounds, and went on to catch the next three. I couldn't have done it without Captain Eddie's knowledge and my husband's help in bringing in my massive catch.

Captain Eddie is amazing!!! This was our first fishing trip but definitely will not be the last. He was so patient and kind with my kids. He kept our poles baited and brought us to some plentiful spots. Thank you for an absolutely wonderful experience. We can’t wait until next time!!!

Captain Eddie was great. He got us on some good fishing and also told us a little about the area including the sand island lighthouse and fort. Great personality, makes you feel like your going fishing with a close friend. Whether your a novice or a pro at fishing, you will have a great time. For the novice,, He baits up your hook and will even cast for you if you just can't figure it out. He definitely knows the area and keeps you baited and fishing the entire time. My son had some good fights with several of the larger fish in the area which was exactly what we were looking for. Very patient and doesn't make you feel rushed. He educated us on what are good fish to keep and which were not. Also cleaned all our fish at the end of the trip and bagged them up for us.

Great guy goes out of his way for the less experienced fisherman full of local history and plenty of good conversation while your catchin fish of course.

Myself, my son and my brother had an awesome trip we were somewhat disappointed the weather was rough so we couldn’t go offshore but captain Eddy took us on an epic inshore trip black drum, redfish even caught some lady fish. You the man cap thanks for a great day.

We chartered a trip for my Mother In-law for Mother's Day. She was thrilled with her experience. Captain Eddy did a fantastic job. She actually caught the biggest and the most fish caught today. We want to give a big Thank you. Thanks again Captain Eddy.
